In the Tatras there are several dozen of tourist trails that altogether have 250km of length. The lovers of walking, hiking and trekking will find here a lot of trails with different levels of difficulty. The amateurs of thrills may practice mountaineering, paragliding and cave tourism. The capitol of the Tatras is Zakopane. Last year's hits are the newly built aqua parks and thermal springs in Zakopane, Bukowina Tatrzańska, Bańska Niżna, where you can have a bath in geothermal waters.

Pieniny is a mountain range famous for holiday and spa values with not very high mountains and hills, covered by forests with varied flora and fauna and with Homole Ravine and Wysokie Skałki nature reserves as well as Biała Woda Reserve ( the Reserve of White Water ) which are all full of picturesque rocks and threshold rocks that create gorges and waterfalls. Szczawnica and Rabka Zdrój, the resorts situated here are famous for their specific micro-climate and rich deposits of mineral waters.

Beskid Śląski and Żywiecki is one of the most attractive tourist-spa regions in Poland. The area is almost fully located in the Beskid Śląski Landscape Park with 8 nature reserves. The highest peaks are Skrzyczne and Barania Góra. In the south-east the Beskid Śląski mountain range boarders with Beskid Żywiecki mountain range. Babiogórski National Park and Żywiecki Landscape Park are both here. The most popular resorts like Ustka, Wisła, Szczyrk and others are perfect destinations for sport and hiking lovers.

The Sudety Mountains is a mountain chain with length of 300 km, which pull the bow to the southwest along the Polish-Czech border. Climate of the Sudety Mountains is shaped by marine air masses. In high mountains the climate is typically mountainous and humid, in the foothills - warm and humid. Areas of particular value are under protection as two national parks: Karkonosze National Park and National Park of Stołowe Mountains.

The tourist county of Sudety Mountains is Kłodzka Valley. The climate here is the healthiest in the whole Lower Silesia region and the quantity of health resorts is the biggest in this area inter alia Duszniki Zdrój, Kudowa Zdroj, Polanica Zdrój.
